Agriculture has always been a big part of my life. I was born on my grandfather’s dairy farm in Ball Ground, Georgia and grew up working in my Dad’s business. My Father’s company was a wholesale distributor for veterinary supplies. We also built animal confinement buildings.
During my first 10 years of professional football, my off seasons were spent raising beef cattle, first in Snead, Alabama and then in Crossville. In 2009, I returned to my first love, operating a 220-acre farm and cow/calf operation. I believe that God led me back to the farm so that I might take care of this small part of His creation. Having this in mind, we work hard to honor Him by maintaining our land and our animals in a sustainable manner. This ideology has also taken us into this new venture.
A few years back, my wife, Sharon, and I ran out of homegrown beef and had to purchase our meat at the local grocery. We could not believe the poor quality of the beef or even the price we paid. This is why we have started offering our homegrown beef to the public. We take pride in what we raise and it is our sincere hope that you will not only save money, but realize why beef is the choice of diners.
